Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“Chalk up another great victory for the Republican Party. They’ve made the old saying the rich get richer and the poor get poorer a reality now.

“For the first time since the 1920s, the gap between the rich and the poor has widened.”

[RWC] How can this be? After all, Democrats have been making this claim for as long as I can remember.

As usual, Mr. Refice didn’t provide any data to support his assertion.

“This was no easy task for the Republicans, and they should be praised for this great feat. It took the Republicans 80-plus years of hard work to achieve this goal, and they should be rewarded handsomely for their relentless battle.

“I think the GOP should at least be awarded two gold medals from our president for their victory.

“It was an uphill fight all the way, but the Republicans did succeed in pushing the poor farther back to secure their win.”
