Enough of Obama’s liberal agenda; Michael L. Stuban; Beaver County Times; May 12, 2010.

Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“In response to those who keep saying Barack Obama won and Americans want change, they don’t get it.

“Obama won for a few reasons: Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan; unemployment; bad economy; deficit; George W. Bush; biased media

“Under Obama: Still in Iraq and Afghanistan; higher employment; worse economy; deficit tripled; still blames Bush; media still biased.

“Obama was not elected to make us a socialist nation, not elected to redistribute wealth, not elected to pass Obamacare (cutting Medicare, hurting the elderly), not elected to increase our debt, not elected to hurt the middle class.

“Those who think he was must be mind readers because he never explained his plans, and the media never asked.”

[RWC] This isn’t exactly correct.  If you did even a tiny bit of research and paid attention to Mr. Obama’s actions, history, and words, it was quite clear what his plans were.  The media’s failing wasn’t in not asking questions; its failing was in not reporting what it knew, and this failing continues to this day.

“Obama was elected president, not God.  Americans, including Tea Party members, have a right to protest against his radical ideas, his deficit, his spending.

“He was not elected for us to blindly follow him.

“If Americans oppose his ideas (the majority does) why doesn’t he listen to them?  Why don’t his defenders realize that?

“I wonder if his liberal supporters are thrown out of office this year and a conservative majority wins, will Obama and his defenders realize America had enough of his liberal agenda?”

[RWC] No.  Leftists never stop wanting to build government power at the expense of effective individual liberty.
