Nation pays price for Bush’s big ego; Ed Tincani; Beaver County Times; November 12, 2008.

Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“Man can look into the heavens and determine how large a planet millions of miles away is.

“He can calculate how long and how much fuel it would take to get to it.

“He can calculate how many tons of food it would take to satisfy an elephant’s hunger in its lifetime.

“Through technology, he can determine how large a pool of oil thousands of feet below the earth’s surface is.

“However, the situation drastically changes when attempting to measure a person’s ego, in particular President George W. Bush’s.

“It is devouring our nation’s resources — human, monetary and material.  Its vast hunger has weakened the value of our dollar to the point where many foreign nations don’t want it.  It has consumed the hopes and dreams of millions of Americans — retirement, homes, medical needs, employment and Social Security.”

[RWC] You’ll note Mr. Tincani never tells us specifically what President Bush did to consume “the hopes and dreams of millions of Americans …”

“How large can it get?  The world may never know.

“However, it does bring the true meaning to the saying, ‘They grow them big in Texas.’”

[RWC] Yet another case of Bush Derangement Syndrome.  Will we ever find a cure? <g>
