We don’t need another war; John M. Tomaszewski; Beaver County Times; May 22, 2008.

Since September 2004, this is at least the 40th letter from Mr. Tomaszewski with all but a handful spouting liberal talking points, with most bashing Republicans and/or President Bush.

Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“Will the United States attack Iran to bomb its nuclear facility to protect Israel?”

[RWC] So a nuke in the hands of Iran wouldn’t be a threat to the U.S. and the rest of the Western world?

“The logic for not attacking Iran is overwhelming.  An attack on Iran would further decrease our standing in the Middle East and decrease our peace efforts in that area.”

[RWC] When did “Will _____________ like us better if we do/don’t act in our national security interests?” become a criterion for taking/not taking action?

Regarding “our peace efforts in that area,” when have they ever been successful?

“Some of our retired generals have stated our armed forces are in a dire state in regard to personnel, ground armor equipment and fighter aircraft.  Yet the Bush administration leaders are talking about the war against Iran as an option.”

[RWC] Note Mr. Tomaszewski provided no quotes to support his assertions.

“Even Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are debating the attack on Iran’s nuclear facility.  We don’t need another war.”

[RWC] “We don’t need another war?”  No kidding!  I know this comes as a surprise, but none of us wanted the current war, let alone another war.  Unfortunately, what we want isn’t always what we need.  I hope that’s not the case with Iran and its nuke program.
