Broadcast ‘Fahrenheit 9/11,’ too; Anna Marie Weber; Beaver County Times; October 17, 2004.

Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“Sinclair Corporation intends to broadcast a documentary about U.S. Sen. John Kerry and his post-Vietnam views.

“After thousands of sons and daughters were killed, is Viet Nam a better place for the people to live?  What do the Vietnamese, Korean, Panamanian and Cambodian people think of the United States?  They all want our country to butt out of their business.

“I just rented ‘Fahrenheit 9/11.’  I wish this was broadcast on TV.  The accusations made of President Bush aiding the bin Laden family, dining with Osama’s brother and the vice president’s and Donald Rumsfeld’s involvement with Halliburton and Enron making military equipment to profit from this war is pitiful.

“Before condemning Kerry on his stance to stop fighting an endless battle in Vietnam, do you think it’s better to start a war and shift it to another country for individuals to profit money from it?

“The Bush administration forgot about getting bin Laden because his family is friends and diverted the search in Afghanistan to go to Iraq- and bin Laden’s still in control of his terrorists.

“This movie shows how Iraq is being destroyed and interviews U.S. soldiers wondering why they are still there.

“I’ve given President Bush the benefit of the doubt since his questionable election.  After seeing this documentary, I doubt I’ll vote for him.”

[RWC] See Movie is deeply patriotic and Moore movie must be seen for my critique of letters similar to Ms. Weber’s.

Regarding “After seeing this documentary, I doubt I’ll vote for him,” this is a hoot.  I performed a quick review of Ms. Weber’s letters to the editor for the past two years.  Ms. Weber has been writing letters critical of President Bush and his policies for at least 16 months.  If you read those letters and still believe there was any chance Ms. Weber was going to vote for President Bush, I have a bridge to sell you.  The truth is, polls showed Fahrenheit 9/11 really didn’t change many minds because most viewers saw it for what it was, propaganda.

I haven’t seen it myself, but I understand anyone who saw Fahrenheit 9/11 should see FahrenHype 9/11.
