Middle Class Party needed; Dushan Yanich; Beaver County Times; June 16, 2005.

Mr. Yanich’s previous three letters attacked President Bush and/or Sen. Santorum.  In this letter, Mr. Yanich continues to bash Republicans but also criticizes Democrats.

Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“After listening, reading and viewing various news outlets, I offer the following about the two-party system.

“The Republican Party wants to ensure that every $1 donated to the party will receive $6 in return, and to satisfy the wants and needs of the religious right.”

[RWC] Where do folks like Mr. Yanich get this stuff?  He wants us to believe Republican politicians are for sale.  I have a healthy distrust of most politicians, but I don’t believe you can paint either party as being for sale.  Of course, both parties have their scoundrels and they must be weeded out.

Though I’m not religious myself, what’s wrong with being religious and “the wants and needs of the religious right?”

“The Democratic Party does not have a platform for today or for the future, and does not seem to know where it’s going.”

[RWC] Wow, Mr. Yanich actually got it right.

“Both parties in Congress are only concerned about money, lobbyists and what’s in it for me.  Neither of them spends any time on and both have forgotten about the middle class.

“Maybe it’s time for a third party, and it should be called the Middle Class Party.”

[RWC] Did you notice Mr. Yanich didn’t tell us the potential platform of his Middle Class Party?
