Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“Please, someone tell President Barack Obama to drop the old, old cliché that we are ‘dependent on foreign oil.’

“We would have plenty of our own oil if Congress would only stop manipulating the supply.”

[RWC] While we need to quit shooting ourselves in the foot regarding domestic oil and gas production, it’s incorrect to believe there would be enough to make us energy independent without also increasing production of other forms of energy such as coal, nuclear, hydro, et cetera.
