Beer here: Pennsylvania needs to treat people like adults; Editorial; Pittsburgh Post-Gazette; February 2, 2007.

Rather do a full piece-by-piece critique because I tend to agree with the editorial, I’ll address only one point.

“Pennsylvania needs to treat people like adults?”  Geez, talk about inconsistency!

The same day as this editorial, the PG also published “The ban is back: The Legislature plays catch-up on indoor smoking.”  Additional antismoking editorials include – but aren’t limited to – “Where there’s smoke,” “Healthy bet,” “Vote to cut,” and “Smoking them out.”

Why can we be treated as adults when it comes to drinking, but not smoking?
