Just under a month ago, BCR communicated false information about gun shows in Pennsylvania. Unless they know something unreported so far, BCR is at it again regarding the I-5 bridge collapse of May 23, 2013. All reports so far say the collapse was due to an oversize, too-tall tractor-trailer striking an overhead part of the bridge. The caption of a photo in the subject BCR piece, however, asserts “Recent collapse of I-5 bridge in Washington State due to lack of repairs.” The piece did not provide the source of its information.
You may recall the usual suspects claimed the 2007 I-35W bridge collapse in Minneapolis was caused by poor maintenance. As it turned out, though, a design flaw caused the collapse.
