BCT Editorial – 12/14/08

Tipping point; Editorial; Beaver County Times; December 14, 2008.

The editorial subtitle is “Drop in death penalty convictions signifies move in a new direction.”

This is another in a series of Times editorials opposing the death penalty.

Since the results too frequently find Times editorial “facts” are dubious at best, I’m too lazy to try and verify the alleged facts in this editorial.  Keep in mind, though, they are in an opinion piece supporting a long-term Times position and came from an organization “which opposes capital punishment.”  I think it’s fair to consume the alleged facts with a grain of salt.

What difference does it make that Death Penalty Information Center is allegedly “nonprofit?”

Finally, I have to thank the Times for giving me a current reference to verify a point I made in my critique of “Request denied” from just three days ago.
