The editorial subtitle is “U.S. immigration policies undermining the nation’s future.”

We have yet another editorial twisting the immigration issue. Just three days ago “New wave” continued the smear of the right as a bunch of bigots, racists, et cetera. Though this editorial didn’t get into bashing the right, it did employ the Times well-worn tactic of accusing people of nativism regarding this issue without providing any supporting evidence. As I wrote before, “I haven’t heard anyone complain about legal immigrants. Heck, most of the people I know had at least one grandparent who was an immigrant, including me. The issue – with both the right and rank-and-file Democrats – is about illegal aliens and the Times knows it.”

About the only point the editorial got right was that we make it far more difficult for educated people to immigrate legally to the U.S. than we do for the uneducated to immigrate illegally.
