A civil tongue; Editorial; Beaver County Times; May 13, 2010.
This is at least the third editorial with this title, including two (“Civil tongue” and “A civil tongue”) within one week back in late 2006.
Given that incivility is SOP for its editorials and the columns of one of its pundits, the Times complaining about civility is hysterical. Heck, the Times frequently can’t even get past the title without name-calling. Just a few examples include “Welfare queens” (at least three times), “Welfare leeches,” and “Leeches.” Perhaps the Times should lead by example before complaining about others.
