BCT Editorial – 11/3/10

I can’t get over how often the Times uses a comedy show as a reference.  This is at least the 11th time since October 2004 editorials afforded credibility to “The Daily Show,” or its spin-off “The Colbert Report.”  This is also the second time an editorial mentioned the rallies.  In contrast, Times editorials didn’t mention Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally even once.

The editorial concluded, “Stewart and Colbert were trying to head us in the right direction - the moderate middle.”  As a reminder, the Times considers politicians with Americans for Democratic Action Liberal Quotients of more than 90% to be “the moderate middle.”
