In referring to former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele, the editorial told us, “His constant gaffes made it too hard to take him seriously.” VP Joe Biden is a walking gaffe machine yet I found no Times editorials on the topic. Other than Mr. Steele is a Republican and Mr. Biden is a leftist, what’s the difference? The Times felt comfortable attacking Mr. Steele because he is black.
Do I believe what I wrote in that last sentence? Of course not. I simply wanted to show how the left treats anyone on the right who criticizes the policies of President Obama. Remember, a Times in-house pundit told us those of us in Beaver County who didn’t vote for Mr. Obama were racists (here and here).
