‘Stop the killing’; Gilda De Ferrari; Beaver County Times; June 16, 2006.

June must be the scheduled time for Ms. De Ferrari to write anti-war letters.  In June 2004 Ms. De Ferrari told us to “Vote Bush out of office” due to the Iraq War.  Last year at this same time, Ms. De Ferrari told us to “Stop the carnage.”  In both letters she wanted us to believe she was worried about our troops.  This year, she accuses them of committing “crimes against humanity.”

Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“Wednesday was Flag Day.

“I have hung out the flag because it is a symbol to me of all the high values this country embodies.

“But this country is betraying itself.  Crimes against humanity are happening in Iraq in our name.  We are causing the death of Iraqi civilians every day we are there.  We are making orphans, we are killing entire families, we are maiming bodies in unspeakable ways.”

[RWC] Despite these claims of atrocities by American soldiers, how much do you want to bet Ms. De Ferrari wants us to believe she “supports the troops?”

“How can President George Bush deceive himself that all this killing will preserve our liberties?  Instead, we have blood on our hands.

“U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter, U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum, U.S. Rep. Melissa Hart, President Bush: Hear our voices.  Stop the killing.”

[RWC] If you believe Ms. De Ferrari cares one whit about Iraqi lives, I have a bridge to sell you.

I wonder want her position is on all the intentional killing of Iraqis by terrorists and Saddamists who want to overthrow the democratically elected government?

I wonder if Ms. DeFerrari wanted to “stop the killing” when Saddam Hussein was killing hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, and Iranians during the Iran/Iraq War?
