Timing of tea party protests; Jerry Miskulin; Beaver County Times; September 27, 2009.

I encourage you to review Mr. Miskulin’s body of work in the archives.  Mr. Miskulin has written at least 50 letters since 2004 (I didn’t critique all of them.).  Most (all?) are illogical and full of falsehoods (not just wrong).

The tea parties must be bothering Mr. Miskulin.  This is his second letter mentioning the topic in 10 days.

Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“I wish President Barack Obama the best of luck because he’s inherited a mess.

“If he corrects the situation he’s inherited, he’s going to cause a lot of pain.  It would also be political suicide.”

[RWC] Apparently Mr. Miskulin doesn’t know or conveniently forgot President Obama supported/supports the subprime lending policies at the root of our current mess.

“In regard to the tea party men and women, where were they when Reagan, Bush the elder and G.W. Bush were spending their money like water?  It seems their voices were never heard, and to hear them now seems a little absurd.”

[RWC] Plenty of us expressed opposition to excessive government spending.  A lot of folks (Mr. Miskulin?) didn’t hear criticism and considered a person to be a “Bushie,” etc. unless the person denounced every position and proclaimed these men to be the spawn of Satan.

Besides, the tea parties aren’t just about spending.  When the presidents Mr. Miskulin mentioned were in office, we didn’t have government takeovers of car companies, real proposals for a government-run healthcare system, government takeover of the student loan industry, et cetera.

“If I have to take a side, well at least I have a little pride (left).”

[RWC] No comment; it’s too easy.
