Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“Every time I see or hear Vice President Dick Cheney, the theme from ‘The Godfather’ starts playing in my head.”

[RWC] Mr. Smith appears to have a thing for VP Cheney.

“We are in Iraq because President Bush and Cheney lied, and now the latter’s buddies at Halliburton are getting richer than they were before. That’s what happens when a war profiteer gets elevated to the vice presidency of the United States.”

[RWC] Though this is at least the third letter from Mr. Smith since 2004 accusing VP Cheney of criminal and/or unethical behavior, to date Mr. Smith has chosen not to present his evidence in any of those letters. The critique of his 2004 letter is here and I chose not to critique Mr. Smith’s letter of June 6, 2005 (“Not what Jesus would want”).

Mr. Smith, do your civic duty and present your evidence so charges can be filed.

I won’t hold my breath waiting for Mr. Smith’s evidence.
