If only Rush had bought the Rams; Jesse Green, Jr.; Beaver County Times; October 22, 2009.

As you read the letter below, keep in mind Mr. Green believes disagreement with President Obama’s policies is the result of racism.

Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“Rush Limbaugh was interested in buying a sports franchise, the NFL’s St. Louis Rams.”

[RWC] Mr. Green appears to have a man crush on Mr. Limbaugh.  This is Mr. Green’s second letter in a few days attacking Mr. Limbaugh.

“Boy, could you imagine the professional athletes standing in line to play on that team?

“On the other hand, they would not be burdened with such things as free agency, bonus clauses, insurance premiums or contract negotiations because good old Rush doesn’t believe in any of them.”

[RWC] None of this is true.  Does Mr. Green just make this stuff up?  You’ll note Mr. Green didn’t provide any citations to support his allegations.

Anyone who has listened to Mr. Limbaugh knows he’s a big fan of NFL players and has always said the players should make as much as the market allows.  I’ll go out on a limb and guess Mr. Green has never listened to Mr. Limbaugh’s show for more than a few minutes – if that – and relies on what he hears from other lefties.

“Maybe he would even have installed Sarah Palin as head coach.  After all, she’s a hockey mom and can even see Russia from her house.  What better qualifications could you ask for?”

[RWC] This paragraph may give us a hint at Mr. Green’s info sources.  Apparently Mr. Green has confused Tina Fey for Sarah Palin.  Mrs. Palin never said she could “even see Russia from her house.”  That would be Tina Fey playing Sarah Palin in a Saturday Night Live skit.

Finally, Mr. Limbaugh would have been a minority member and would have had no say in the operations of the team.
