Trump threatens our status throughout the world; Linda Vetterly (LV); Beaver County Times; March 23, 2017.
The only previous Vetterly letter I reviewed was “Relieving real desperation.”
Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.
“Our presidential office is now being run by a paranoid nutcase with delusions of grandeur.”
[RWC] You can guess where this letter is going.
“He is imaging [sic] Trump Towers was being wiretapped with zero proof. There is, however, proof that the Russians interfered in the election that put Trump in office.”
[RWC] In what way?
“He wants to cut funding for things that help people. He wants to close Planned Parenthood for no real reason. He has shown bigotry toward Muslims, blacks, gays and women. The only ones he supports are rich people like himself.”
[RWC] The author provided “zero proof.”
“He talks badly about President Obama, who was an excellent president. Trump’s whole election campaign was nothing but a farce. He needs to be impeached before he totally ruins our country.”
[RWC] You gotta love it. LV complains President Trump (DT) “talks badly about President Obama” just a few paragraphs after she calls DT “a paranoid nutcase with delusions of grandeur.”
“I know Hillary Clinton wasn’t elected because she is a women [sic], which is a ridiculous reason because she had the experience. Many countries are run very well by women.”
[RWC] Republicans didn’t vote for the Democrat candidate – female or male - because of ideology. That means LV just bashed her own party for sexism and/or misogyny.
What was Mrs. Clinton’s relevant “experience?” Please read here and here.
Yes, women can run countries very well. The late-British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher is the best example, though LV probably disagrees.
“Instead, we elected a paranoid fool with anger issues. We need to get him out before it is too late.”
[RWC] As for “anger issues,” her letter indicates LV should look in a mirror. Other than the 2020 elections, how does LV propose “We … get him out before it is too late?”
“Wise up, America, before he ruins our superpower status in the world.”
[RWC] If “Red Line” BHO didn’t “ruin our superpower status in the world,” it’s unlikely DT will.
