Many Americans squander an asset; Larry H. Mason; Beaver County Times; November 9, 2010.

Among previous letters from Mr. Mason were “Letting the voters have their way,” “When will troops leave Iraq?”, “Build another nuke plant,” “America must disarm Iraq,” “Win the war militarily,” “Defeat on several fronts,” and “Health care haves disdain have nots.”

Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“Last Tuesday was a great day for America.

“When you are born in America, you are born rich because you have the right to vote for your leaders.  You have a chance to educate yourself.  You have opportunities beyond those of the vast majority in most other countries.

“Yet on Nov. 2, most Americans voted not to vote, to count, to think, to reason or to be capable of critical thinking.”

[RWC] My records indicate Mr. Mason didn’t write a similar letter when Democrats won in 2006 with a lower voter turnout (42% in 2010 vs. 37% in 2006).  The summary of this letter is “poor loser.”
