What are those threats from within?; David V. Matthews; Beaver County Times; April 3, 2009.

For background, in previous letters Mr. Matthews told us there’s no liberal media bias, President Bush committed treason, he’s positive creation played no role in our evolution, President Bush plans to nuke Iran this year (2006), “Centrism is Bushism,” the Bush administration may be “conducting warrantless surveillance upon” us, the Bush administration is “warlike and imperialist,” and President Bush “finds the war he started amusing.”  Mr. Matthews also gave us a lesson in creative reading.

Below is a detailed critique of the subject letter.

“In his letter on Thursday, (‘United States being attacked from within’), Michael Von Hedemann contended that the America without government ‘tyranny and oppression’ now ‘is being attacked from within,’ and that we citizens should unite to save our country.

“However, he did not cite any examples of government tyranny and oppression, name any attackers from within or suggest what we could do to save our country after we unite.

“If he thought our freedoms were in danger, he should have provided some specifics on identifying and combating that danger.”

[RWC] The following is the only reason for this critique.  This the second letter in a row in which Mr. Matthews complained about someone else not providing “any proof” or “some specifics.”  If you’re familiar with Mr. Matthews’ body of work, you have to get a chuckle out of this.
